In the Kitchen: Spicy Herbed tilapia with Shrimp and Vegetables

Hi Everyone,

This is going to be a recipe post- obviously! I hope to do one at least every two weeks, I love to cook I just never remember to take pictures or notes of my recipes.
This is very simple creation of mine!
Quickly, meals will be rated by level of difficulty, speed and of course overall taste :)
Here we go!
You will need:
2- Tiliapia Fillets (thawed)
4oz - Shrimp fresh and thawed
2 teaspoons of lemon juice
1- Teaspoon of cayenne pepper
1- Teaspoon of parsley
1- Teaspoon of olive oil
A pinch of thyme
A pinch of salt
A sprinkle of Natures seasoning or the equivalent
2- Large carrots
A small head of broccolli
A small head of cauliflower

Directions : Pre-heat oven at 375degrees F,wash Tilapia fillets and set aside, Peel the shrimp and set aside. Chop up the carrots, broccoli and and cauliflower, wash and set aside.

I Like to buy shrimp that is uncooked and has the shell on, Uncooked because the flavor is so much better, over cooked shrimp is not the business.
And Shell on, because I'm that kinda girl, I enjoy peeling it and I believe the tail (which i leave on) adds flavor and flair! :)

Using the aforementioned spices (ignore the garlic in the photo, it was not used), spice up the shrimp and fish together and place in a lightly oil-sprayed pan. Add all the spices but the lemon juice, thats for later. The most important spices are the pepper, thyme and the nature's seasoning (which is a blend of garlic powder, black pepper and just a lil sugar, yes sugar.) this combination of spices give the food unique and delicious flavor.
Place the fish and shrimp in the center of the Pre-heated oven. and very lightly drizzle with olive oil

Place a very small amount of water in a small sauce pan add the vegetables and heat on medium until tender (careful not to over cook, 7-10mins should be enough)

After about 10-15mins the fish should be ready, Carefully remove from the oven. Toss the steamed veggies lightly with a little bit of butter and salt.
Squeeze a few drops of lemon juice on the fish and shrimp

Voila!! Dinner is served.
Prep time: 10mins
Cooking time: 20mins
I would rate this dish a 9/10 because not only was it extremely easy and quick it was delicious! Seafood lovers would enjoy it! The spiciness was just right!
Will you try this?
